Dirk is the resident dwarf in Iselia. He met both Kratos and Anna years before and with her dying breath Anna asked for Dirk to take care of her son. Dirk is a hard worker with righteous virtues and he raised Lloyd loyally as his son for fourteen years. Lloyd treated Dirk with as much care and respect as he would with his biological father and as he meets his real father later on in the story, he still cares for Dirk.
Genis Sage Genis is the brother of Raine Sage and both are half-elves. Genis and Lloyd had been best friends for years and the fact that Genis was a half-elf never bothered Lloyd much at all, In fact, he never saw Genis any different from himself. Genis is sort of the brains of the pair. When Lloyd slacks off or has trouble with homework, Genis is sort of his tutor and gets Lloyd out of sticky situations. For some reason Genis puts up with him and is still willing to have adventures with Lloyd.
Raine Sage Raine is Genis's Sister as well as the Iselia's resident teacher and ruin maniac. Raine takes good care of her brother and students but while on adventures still treats them like they are in class. Lloyd respects her and constantly holds her in the "Professor" position.
Colette Brunel Lloyd is very protective of Colette, the chosen of Sylvarant. They are romantically involved on a certain level. Colette has a kind, giving attitude but always takes the blame and apologizes for something that she's not resposible for. Lloyd acts almost as her knight or guardian and cares deeply for her.
Kratos Aurion When Lloyd first meets Kratos he feels instant disdain. Over time, however, their relationship morphs. Lloyd seems to sort of look up to him and his swordsmanship. But when Kratos switches sides over and over (as it seems) Lloyd wants more and more to defeat him. Upon finding out that Kratos is his father, Lloyd is in denial (but recovers quickly). Needless to say, they never have the Father/Son bond that Lloyd shares with Dirk.
Zelos Wilder Zelos is the chosen of Tethe'alla and has sort of a dual personality. At first he seems sort of unenthused about being the chosen and cares only for chasing women. On another hand, he resents the fact that everyone looks up to him and he acts as a traitor. Lloyd's relationship grows the more time he spends with Zelos. At first he can't stand him but later on they grow together and become friends.
Sheena Fujibayashi A summoner from the small, hidden village of Mizuho. She is sent to destroy the chosen and her group but ends up failing because she's horribly clumsy. Later she joins the group and helps Lloyd to fulfill his goal of reuniting the two worlds.
Regal Bryant A convict who chains his hands as a symbol to himself. He was a millionaire who had slain Presea's sister after the exsphere mutated her body into a rampaging monster. He is a tough character but is also very intelligent. Lloyd's relationship with Regal is distant unlike Regal's relationship with Presea.
Presea Combatir When they first meet Presea, she was the lifeless child who was the host of a cruxis crystal experiment. Lloyd persuaded everyone to go out of their way and help her since he was attempting to destroy prejudice and discrimination throughout the game. Presea's mind was seperated from her body due to the powers of the crystal but Lloyd's craftmanship was able to repair her broken keycrest and restore her, allowing Presea to become an important addition to their team.
